Brick

There are different standards for brick sizes. For example, in the UK, a standard brick is 215 x 102.5x 65 mm. In Germany and in the post-Soviet space the main standard is 250×120×65 mm

There are 2 main formats of bricks: ceramic (GOST 530-2012) and silicate (GOST 379-2015).

In Russia, bricks of the unified standard (normal format – NF [13]) appeared in 1927 [source not specified 1,675 days]. One of the first all-Union brick standards was OST 90035-39. The normal format has dimensions of 250×120×65 mm. Other sizes are derived from NF:

1 NF (single) – 250×120×65 mm;

1.4 NF (one and a half) – 250×120×88 mm;

2.1 NF (double) – 250×120×138 mm.

Products of nominal size 2.1 NF and more are typically called ceramic stones. The sizes of typical models correspond to GOST 530-2012:

4.5 — 250×250×140 mm;

6.8 — 380×250×140 mm;

6.0 — 250×250×188 mm [14]

Angle closer (part):

3/4 — 180 mm;

1/2 — 120 mm;

1/4 — 60—65 mm.

Cement

Cement is one of the main building materials. When interacting with water, aqueous solutions of salts and other liquids, it forms a plastic mass, which then solidifies and turns into a stone-like body. It is mainly used for making concrete and mortars. Cement is a hydraulic binder and has the ability to gain strength in humid conditions, which is fundamentally different from some other mineral binders – (gypsum, air lime) which harden only in air.

Cement grade is a conditional value, which means that the compressive strength will not be lower than the designated grade (200, 300, 400, 500, 600)

Cement for mortars is a low-clinker composite cement intended for masonry and plaster mortars. Joint grinding of Portland cement clinker, active mineral additives and fillers makes them.

Concrete blocks

Concrete wall stones are an excellent building material. Decorative facing blocks are intended for cladding of external and internal walls of buildings and structures, installation of retaining walls and fences. Thanks to the unique vibro-compression system, the blocks are characterized by consistent quality and stable high-strength characteristics. The high strength of the blocks allows them to be used in load-bearing walls of multi-storey buildings and in self-supporting structures of enclosing frame structures.

Through voids in blocks allow arranging a hidden frame in the body of the wall, which dramatically increases its bearing capacity. The use of concrete wall stones is possible without plastering the interior and facade surfaces, which makes it possible to avoid wet processes at the construction site as much as possible. Rich colours, textures and sizes of products gives a huge number of combinations and opportunities to realize the most diverse engineering and architectural fantasies of the customer.
